BELINDA METZ
BIOGRAPHY
“Irene Bell”
Belinda Metz stars as
Irene Bell, the band's stage manager in Disney
Channel's new original series, So Weird.
She began her acting career as a series
regular on Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, for a successful
four-season run.
Although Belinda's career over the past few years has centered
around acting, her
first real love is that of a singer/songwriter. Her journey as a solo artist began in
1979. In the early '80s, she released her first record titled
"The Minx" which won
rave reviews, resulting in extensive touring - including a concert
showcase in 1982
at Studio 54. In
1985, the Edmonton, Alberta native was nominated for
"Most
promising Female Singer" in Canada. After touring
extensively, Belinda was
approached to do film and television work. Although Kung Fu: The
legend
Continues was her "big break" for television, Belinda
had a recurring role as
"Skoggs" in the second season of War of the Worlds;
leading role in the cable
feature The Right Connections, with M.C. Hammer; and numerous
guest-starring
roles in Tek War, Counterstrike, Friday the 13th, Top
Cops, Dead Man's Gun, The
Outer Limits, and Viper, to name a few.
The accomplished singer and actress has recorded hundreds
of commercials
and voice-overs, and is presently recording her third CD.
Belinda is also a
dedicated mother to her young daughter, Amelia.
